Appropriately called so, Death Valley is one of the hottest places on Earth. With its arid landscapes and unique formations, it's a must-see for photographers and explorers alike.

 

I started 2016 with a road trip, from San Francisco to Las Vegas, camping in Death Valley for a week and going where the road led us.
