Hold On To That

Hold on to that.

When life isn’t the marvelous never-ending adventure you expected it to be,

Remember that moment, driving in your car, singing at the top of your lungs.

When things seemed perfect, even if just for a moment.

The momentaneous joy that melody brought you, where everything seemed possible

And that huge smile crossed your face.

Life is a roller coaster with its ups and downs,

Not never-ending joy, but moments that seem to last forever.

When the clock takes its time to mark 5,

Or when you wonder why you’re alone in bed in the middle of the night,

Cherish that infinite second where you were perfectly happy,

That kiss that can keep you warm through the toughest of winters,

The feeling of the sun as it caresses your skin.

Remember that it’s not about the durability of the instance,

But the perpetuation of small, significant moments that add up to a whole.

Don’t forget that happiness is not a constant highway with no ups or downs,

But a windy road where the scenery keeps on changing.

Different seasons, different flavours, different people,

The only constant is you, and that’s perfect in its own way.

It is enough.
